The leadership structure of the Center for Urban Population Health is unique in that it employs a Director and Associate Directors who also maintain administrative and/or academic affiliations and responsibilities. The Center's directorship strategically develops the Center's population health activities while maintaining a strong connectedness with the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, and Aurora Health Care. These connections allow the Center's leadership to bring a broad perspective to the table when leading the Center.
Director
The Center is led by the Director, Ron A. Cisler, Ph.D. In addition to strategic planning and leadership of the Center, Dr. Cisler also serves an academic role as an Associate Professor of Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee (UWM) and an Associate Professor of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Associate Directors
Dennis Baumgardner, M.D., Associate Director for Health Services Initiatives, also provides academic and administrative leadership of the Aurora UW Medical Group, and serves as a Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Loren Galvao, M.D., M.P.H., Associate Director for Community Partnerships, also serves in an academic role as an Associate Scientist at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee College of Nursing's Center for Cultural Diversity and Global Health, and as an Honorary Fellow at the Department of Population Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Executive Committee
The Center for Urban Population Health is governed by an Executive Committee, which provides oversight and guidance on the Center's mission and goals. The Executive Committee is made up of representatives from each of the Center's collaborating institutions as well as representatives from key community organizations.
