Milwaukee Homicide Review Needs Assessment
Through the Milwaukee Homicide Review (MHR) process, it became apparent that all criminal justice agencies would benefit greatly from enhanced information sharing, ideally electronically. Enhanced information sharing would aid in investigations, prevention/deterrent strategies and allocation of resources. One early recommendation of the MHR was to develop a means to facilitate electronic information sharing between criminal justice agencies.
The first step in facilitating electronic information sharing is to assess the data needs of each participating criminal justice agency. This project will assess the needs of criminal justice system agencies around sharing data to prevent and control crime.
