Background
Early intervention programs in Milwaukee County that provide services to young children with disabilities have identified a need for a database system that will improve collection, storage, and sharing of information among providers.
Goals
The ECIDS project will address the following areas:
- Allowing for accurate/reliable determination of prevalence and rate trends for children with disabilities from birth to three years of age
- Fostering efficient, integrated service delivery for these children
- Facilitating the tracking of successes, costs, and benefits of these services
- Supporting evaluation and facilitating communication within the Birth to 3 community (parents, service providers, health care professionals, and program administrators).
