Poverty's High Cost to Health

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funded a recent report, The Poor Pay More:  Poverty’s High Cost to Health, which describes many social and economic factors influencing health and points to policies that have the potential for restoring the prospect of good health to the lives of the poor.  Read the report.

The Center for Urban Population Health’s recent release of the Milwaukee Health Report 2009 provides local data supporting the fact that local residents with lower socioeconomic status have significantly worse health than the upper socioeconomic status group for almost all of the health measures.  Read more about the Milwaukee Health Report 2009.
