The purpose of the Center’s Service Learning Opportunities is to provide a framework for students to gain direct, supervised volunteer experience in population health research projects. In addition to gaining valuable experience in population health research, students will receive:

Service Learning Coordinator
Applications will be reviewed by the Center’s Service Learning Committee in terms of availability of projects, fit with the Center’s mission and vision, and interest areas. Applicants will be notified within two weeks of application receipt regarding whether or not a match has been identified. Selected applicants will be invited for an in-person interview to discuss a possible service-learning project. If both the student and Center staff feel the project is a fit, then arrangements will be made for the student to begin working on the project at the Center.
Applicants who do not find a match are welcome to check in again with the Center in the following semester.
